Write Your Yoga Community Class

In this informal writing class and gentle yoga class, we’ll investigate the notion of “samskaras,” or deeply embedded ideas about ourselves. What are we clinging to that is no longer serving us and how can we begin to let go? What are the authentic stories we yearn to tell instead? Through writing exercises, we’ll differentiate between the falsehoods that hold us back and the true tales we long to express. Poetry or Prose. Opening up with 60 minutes of gentle slow flow yoga to open our bodies and hearts, the final 30 minutes of class will focus on sharing what we have written the month before with writing assignments to take home and ponder for the month until we meet again.

Intro to Self-Healing through Acupressure with Adriene Douglas, LMT

In this workshop, Adriene Douglas will introduce the basics of acupressure and how energy and pressure points work together in the body to effectively release stress and tension. You will be guided through a self-healing stress relief technique that Soul Lightening International developed to assist first responders in healing from emotional trauma experienced on September 11, 2001. The workshop will begin with a light yoga practice from Emilie Maynor to get your energy flowing.

Mind Body Expression Workshop with Annie Damsky, Emilie Maynor and Ginny Rediker, MSW

Through this unique group practice, we will explore the power shared experience in letting go of stress and anxiety . We will begin with supportive yoga poses to help release manifestations of stress in the physical body. Upon the initial release through our asanas (poses), we will enter a guided svasana (relaxation) for a deeper detox of stress and anxiety, allowing mental and emotional experience to surface into our present awareness. Following this release, we will hold group space for students to share regarding the continuous process of letting go experienced during the practice (sharing is optional). Yoga lead by Annie Damsky and Emilie Maynor, discussion led by Ginny Rediker, MSW.

Yoga Nidra with Suzanne Graham

Yoga Nidra or “Yogic Sleep” is a combination of relaxation, affirmation, respiration and visualization techniques that are used together to create deep relaxation in the physical body. This multidimensional approach to relaxation facilitates deep integration of mind, body, and spirit. Experience this profound relaxation yourself as you are guided through a gentle asana and Yoga Nidra practice. This practice is appropriate for anyone, regardless of physical condition. Please dress warmly in layers, as you will be lying in Savasana for about an hour. You may eat a light meal one hour before arriving.

Kids Birthday Party

Includes a 45-minute yoga class, time and space for cake and presents, plus party favors and a gift for the birthday boy or girl. Maximum 15 kids (adults may remain to watch or participate). Best for ages 3 and up

Includes a 60-minute yoga class, time and space for refreshments and presents, plus a gift for the guest of honor. Maximum 20 guests

Baby Shower

Includes a 60-minute prenatal style yoga class with a focus on directing energy towards the well being of mother and child, plus time for refreshments and presents and a gift for mom and baby. Maximum 20 guests
