Yoga With Your Child

The benefits of early childhood movement on growth and development are widely documented. Interactive physical contact and activity with a loving adult helps to foster trust and introduces the basis of healthy relationships - with one's self and others. Early focused interaction also helps to ease a young child's nervous system while bolstering immunity, circulation, and physical growth.

Parents and caregivers also benefit from the physical movement, stress reduction and bonding that are explored through yoga movement and meditative exercises.

Family Yoga(open to all family members & caregivers)

Enjoy this unique opportunity for healthy fun with the whole family. This is an energetic class incorporating individual and partner yoga poses, songs, storytelling and guided relaxation. Classes help to build strength, bone density, while maintaining flexibility and developing balance. Techniques for stilling and focusing the mind are also introduced.

Prenatal

Classes provide a safe and peaceful environment to explore physical and emotional changes that come with pregnancy. Yoga poses and sequencing focus on strengthening the uterus and pelvic muscles, improving circulation and increasing overall comfort, among other benefits. Breathing exercises and meditation will also be introduced to aid in labor and delivery and stress reduction in general. You may start classes as early in your pregnancy as your feel comfortable, however, please consult with your healthcare provider for more direction specific to your body and pregnancy.

Parent & Baby

(six weeks -- pre-crawling)

This class focuses on deepening the caregiver/child bond. Baby's development is enriched through interactive yoga movements. Core yoga poses help mom regain physical strength and balance, while calming emotions and releasing tension.
